SAFETY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE DO EACH DAY.

PUTTING SAFETY AT THE TOP OF OUR COMPANY VALUES ISN’T JUST GOOD BUSINESS, IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

We are committed to the safety of our team members and an injury-free work environment. It’s essential that we integrate safety into every step of a project, from planning to on-site construction, and have built a dedicated program for safety training and learning. Our principle is simple: as a professional builder, planning for safety really is the most important thing we do each day.

Our safety program is a reflection of our commitment to continuous improvement and has been greatly augmented by our most valuable resource: our employees. We require consistent and active involvement from our team at all levels, including upper management and craft workers, to make safety synonymous with Stone Ridge Contracting. Accidents are avoidable and unacceptable.

The foundation of our safety system is a required training program that provides education and a deep understanding of our responsibilities when it comes to project safety. Our training process is highly involved and includes orientation, supervisor training, safety staff, hazard recognition, job hazard analysis, safety meetings, safety committees, and an emphasis on sub-contractor safety.

We are a proud member of the ISNet World program - which collects and verifies self-reported safety performance and conformance data for their safety programs and trainings. Through this program, owners and clients can easily determine if a contractor meets both internal and governmental requirements and regulations, streamlining the pre-qualification process for most industrial markets.

ORIENTATION

All new employees attend a new-hire orientation prior to assuming any job duties. Quarterly reviews of our safety standards occur with all new field staff and management in our main office to ensure that our safety knowledge is being retained. We believe this boosts our safety culture. These reviews also allow us to receive feedback from our employees to improve our safety program.

SAFETY
STAFF

In addition to our dedicated safety managers, all employees are expected to reflect the responsibilities of a safety manager individually. All team members are empowered to make good decisions, stay alert, always be on the lookout for hazards, and be a voice in safety. Hazard Recognition Site safety audits are conducted weekly on all projects. Conducted by a site supervisor and/or project safety representative, these audits help promote personnel involvement in safety issues as well as provide a forum to discuss techniques being used and possible alternatives.
